Thank you for this post, Audrey. It always strikes me as ridiculous
when personality cults make people fall to their knees before those
whom they adore and revere, like a bunch of Tennessee schoolgirls at an
Elvis Presley concert. The Obama cult is just one more of these personality cults, and, like all cult figures his hollowness matters not a whit to his fan-club. Right now, for those who
grovel before him and praise his actions (in Maryland a bunch of Obama
fans applauded when he blew his nose) everything that Obama does may well be divine.
I can't but help recall Madalyn O' Hair's statement that one man's
religion was another's belly laugh. The Obama cult may yet put him in
the White House and he wouldn't be the last idiot who managed to get in
there. The joke, of course, would as much be on those who elect him as
it has been on those who have elected previous luminaries to the
highest office in the USA.
