In a previous post, I posed a question: the majority of humans don't
cause war so why don't the majority of humans stop it? The answer may
lie in the words from Taslima Nasreem. The health problems she
described in her article, high blood pressure and failing eyesight,
seem a huge price to pay for a person of 45 years, for standing up
for principles.
The stress with keeping up a cause must take a huge toll on a
person's body. I applaud you for taking a stand, Taslima. But now
maybe you could think of yourself and your health and let others
step up to the plate.
Sometimes I despair that we can ever make progress in human rights.
It always appears to be one step forward and two steps back.
Be well and enjoy your new home.
