Well, now we have seen it all. Profile in courage, my eye! Profile in "I am right and you are wrong... more like it. Do you really mean to tell me that the views of a Black supremacist are of no importance to the voter? Don't tell me that no one would be worried if the words of Obama's pastor came from the KKK!! Substitute White for Black and see what we get. Obama was in this cult for 15 or 20 years.
Now I know why Obama struck me the wrong way from the beginning. It is much worse than I thought. How easily people are lulled into submission!

P.S. Obama reminds me of a poem I wrote about a similar incident in Canada in May 1996. Pretty soon people found they couldn't let go of the reins for a second. Does anything ever change? Can anything ever change?
NO TIME FOR REST

The Ship of State is veering to and fro,
Now port, now starboard, ever chaos.
Then just when all quiver in despair
A fresh stern wind fills the sails.
Tobin (Obama?) takes the helm and urges them on,
Guides the close formation of ministers
All under orders to follow his course.
They, and we, relax in peace.
Tobin,(Obama) commander, the very wind itself,
Moves the ship onward. Chaos gives way.
There's a steady comforting breeze;
Might the hour for rest have come?
It is tempting to succumb to leadership,
To put down one's head, forget bad dreams,
And steal a well-deserved rest for tired eyes.
He'll man the tiller for awhile.
But intuition makes us stop and ask,
"Forget good sense for a quiescent face?"
Is this not the lull of the moment?
Have we not before been deluded by calm?
So hold fast to the helm, eyes on the stars.
For, should we give up to slumber,
Could we not be pitched unexpectedly
Into the storm that ever lurks in the shadows.
