Thanks for the article. Of all folks who visit Mukto-mona forum the
one who would benefit reading this article is a neophyte in American
system who goes by the name Dr. Jiten Roy. The more he exposes his
inner faculty in this forum, I cringe in fear knowing how this man
from a bona-fide Third World country has changed his views about
world's economic system, never mind the race relationship that now
exists in America. I have been living here for the past 39 years
continuously but I have not sold my soul to conservatives. America
has certainly attained a great deal of success in science,
technology, and manufacturing. Thanks to its universities but this
nation has also a dark past vis-à-vis race and the way its mercantile
community exploits the world. Unfortunately, Dr. Jiten Roy hardly
sees the world the way you and I see it. He flaunts that he hears
the message of conservative talk show hosts. From them he learnt
that Senator Obama listens to terrorists. When I asked him where he
learnt this information and whether it could be backed by published
reference, in reply he tells me that one conservative talk show host
is his reference. Dr. Jiten Roy also quoted another conservative
talk show host, Mr. Savage (this is a nom de plume, who said that
liberals have delusional mind or they are mentally sick (the exact
quote is slightly different than what I wrote here). As you know,
many of our Third World people practice the art of reductionism. Dr.
Jiten Roy is no different. I would be excited if I learn that Dr.
Jiten Roy or folks like him, who have abandoned their college-days
mantra of building an ideal world based on egalitarianism, would read
this critical review of Obama's speech and learn a thing or two about
how America has become racially a divided society. This man wrongly
thinks that the powerful whites in America would embrace him. They
surely would like to have his vote but would reject him like a
vermin, to put it mildly. Should we remind these misguided folks
what did happen to the crow who masqueraded as a peacock?
