When Farida Majid ponders "What would Taslima Nasrin or Ayaan Hirsi
Ali do without the aid Islamists...." she shows her intrinsic islamic
fundamentalist nature. She reinforces that by calling "Mike Ghouse, a
progressive Indian Muslim activist". Here, she is trying hard to
legitimize the same old backwardness in islam. Why? Is it just
nostalgia due to a lack of sience-culture? Or, just the good old
fundamentalist ego that does not like rocking the boat?
