Dharma is a Sanskrit word, dhri dhatu + man pratyaya, which means something
that holds together. In his classic, The Origins of Christianity, Professor
Revillo P. Oliver defines religion as a belief in the existence of
praeter-human and supernatural beings. It depends on the rudimentary power
of reason and relatively developed powers of imagination.
In my opinion the demise of religion began with the advent of the printing
press. Once the religious books were made available to the mass for
consumption, the inconsistencies surfaced up. Old religions are dead. So
is Marxism. The only way to avoid the stench is to give them the funeral
they deserve
