Is this an attack on the freedom of expression because the almighty CPIM does not like the contents of the magazine in question or another attempt at judicial thuggishness a la the old attacks on Usha Uthup whom the Kolkata commissars had arrested because of what they called "apasanskriti"?� I understand that their version of Nazi "entarte" also included beauty contests as evidenced from Amiya Ganguli's call for attacks on the Miss World contest in Bengaluru, which were issued, at the time, from the pages of Ramnath Goenka's Indian Express. Considering the Goenkas' close association with the RSS and their pamphleteering for the BJP, that did show Jyoti Basu's true colours. Perhaps, this is Buddhadeb showing his own?
