[ALOCHONA] Jamat reformed its constitution

I notice many bloggers writes so eloquently and who are fairly informed. I only expect they use it for positive causes and broader reasons.

I do not know whether it should be Jamat itself, but those in this party, who perpetrated homicide and unspeakable crime to suppress our freedom fight, destroy our dream of a country where we all can live of our own with peace and prosperity. I have no sympathy for them and simply have been wishing that they were tried and awarded with severe punishment. That should have happened immediately after the bullets stop and judiciary started. But it did not happen. Do you know why?
Than came 'Ghadani', Jahanara Imam's historical sacrifice and future passion brought the issue too close for my comfort, but mysteriously the tempo, hope for justice all quickly diminished. Again what could be the reasons?

Off and on the issue is still emerging after long 37 years, to some folks it appears as if the crime happened yesterday. But what are the main reasons behind its 'left unmaterialised' – I can't explain in its full dimensions. I do not doubt any of those simple folks who wants justice for the crime, after the most cruelty of British and their crime in our land in last century.

But question arises in my mind – what should happen to the crimes that were perpetrated after the 'fight for our dream, peace, prosperity and to be of our own'. Crime that also took many lives, crime that brought the judge and justice under the heel of those misgivers. People franchises curtailed, economic hope dashed. In colonial 25 years, with all disparity, yet all the basic industries that were built, the few monumental infrastructure that were built, in long 37 years we made to disappear all those basic industries and couldn't built half of those monuments for our own people. I do not know how one would explain this and whom they would blame.

Ambiguity! Hypocracy! Many of us who can not take all crime as a crime, all perpetrators as criminals and can not see the hurdles being erected in front of their eyes. A bifurcated heart can not nourish love for people in general and fail to hope for betterment of their fellow citizen in an equitable manner.

Farida Majid – with due respect to your comments and concern on the issue but I guess you have just joined the bandwagon by bringing in your father to the issue and linked the blogger with RAW connection hypothesis. Your father's contribution should be left as intended while he sacrificed his precious wealth.
