A Short Training Course on Tobacco Economics

WHAT IS THE COURSE?
With a view to create a group of skilled personnel on various economic
dimensions of tobacco economics Unnayan Shamannay, a non-profit
organisation with support from Tobacco Free Kids (TFK), is going to
arrange a short training course. The course will provide a deeper
understanding on the issues of tobacco economics with a special focus on
'tobacco taxation as a tool to reduce tobacco consumption'.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Junior and mid level development professionals working in organisations
associated with anti-tobacco advocacy and movement, reporters and
contributors of print and electronic media, interested students and other
relevant persons interested in tobacco economics.  Women are especially
encouraged to apply.

Teaching Technique: Classroom lectures complemented by participatory
approach with problem-solving exercises and group works.

Duration: 10-12 three-hour sessions over two months
No course fee is required.
