RE: [ALOCHONA] Re: CNN Report

Bangladeshis are rich and have everything short of education and character (This includes professionals like the Professors).

Popular politicians have everything except respect for people. Public servants serve everybody except the public. The members of the public are more corrupt than their political leaders. The Secretaries of the Departments/Ministries are shrewder than their Ministers. The religious are much more secular than their secular counter parts. The seculars are more dogmatic than the Mollas. Most of the physicians are sicker in heart than their patients. Attorneys tell a lie more honestly than their clients. Mothers do not look like mothers, sisters do not look like sisters, daughters do not look like daughters, and wives do not look like wives, as they step out of the beauty parlors. In the bus, the conductors have more rights than the passengers. Teachers are more ignorant than their students. Miscreants are more creative than the investigators. Models display their own quantities much more than the qualities of the merchandises. Singers are much more athletic than the wrestlers and boxers. Dancers play more like the "Baiyjees" than the cultural artists. Children play more adult than the adults. Movies play more violence of vulgar than the real-life professional prostitutes and pornographers. The leftists use more of their right hands than left hands. Political vandals burn more public properties than the professional miscreants. The World Bank demands more flesh of the debtor than the Shylocks (as in The Merchant of Venice of Shakespeare). Merchants are more notorious than the "Nato-Raj". And the list can go on. Now, you all great positive people can count on the positive potentials of your positive "Shona'r Bangla". But please, "Don't exclude me from the positive list".

M. Jalaluddin

Dear Alochoks

Some people may be local concubines of the WB IMF NGOs etc. Some of
these people have jobs with WB IMF NGOs etc. And some of these people
just trust the WB IMF NGOs etc more than they trust their own
politicians.

It is the democratically elected governments of Bangladesh that talk
against NGOs but don't do anything to stop them.

We should turn Bnagladesh into a tourist destination for NGOs..

Do you have an NGO?
Would you like to start it up with minimum hassle?
Would you like to experiment with strategies and people with minimum
accountability?
Would you like to employ some of the best people in the land?
Would you like to pay very small bribes to get what you want?

Welcome to Bangladesh!
Where elected politcians work for you!

This is a public service advertisement.

forget the fact that we are subjected to the whims and politics of
foreign countries we are actually a victim of infighting. It is in
our nature to be envious and dislike the success of our fellow
countrymen. We can not stand it and we find ways to cause harm.

Corruption is comparatively lower then what it was before they took
over. That in itself is a huge success given that our corruption was
sky rocketing and we have been ranked the most corrupt country
multiple years in a row. But, have they faced pitfalls in the way of
people wanting to better their situations? Yes! Did politicians and
people with party allegiance make noise about how wrong their methods
and policies were? Yes! Were these politicians and people adversely
affected by the changes instilled by the new government? Yes! Were
their selfish agendas hidden in the guise of patriotism and concerns
for the nation? Hell Yes! Why can't we intelligently see that greed
is rampant in our country and that until and unless nationally we
overcome the attitude of self improvement at the expense of others we
will never realize the type of success Bangladesh is capable of
achieving.

in mind that if we are exporting it is in our best interest to have a
devalued currency (Case and point China). If we are importing from
India it is best that our currency is more in par with them? because
otherwise we will find ourselves more in debt to them.

Bangladesh. The title of the program is "Bangladesh: A Drowning
Country". If you please see CNN advertisement you will easily
understand that the title is chosen to undermine and defame
Bangladesh in the world arena. Few days back they covered Bihar's
flood situation but their title was not so disgusting.
