[ALOCHONA] FW: UNIVERASAL Freedom AND Tolerance Of Religion: addressing Alisa Khan

Subject: RE: UNIVERASAL Freedom AND Tolerance Of Religion: addressing Alisa Khan

Assalamu Alaikum:

I agree with Alisa Khan on promoting religious freedom and tolerance, as a general expectation. However, I have some comments on her referring to "every country" and specifying Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq. These three countries are Muslim-majority but peculiarly evolved nations that did not have similar sociopolitical histories since the acceptance of Islam by majority of their peoples. In Saudi Arabia, people of other religions can practice their religions as long as they do not interfere or disturb the public order, belief and practice of the majority.

Saudi Arabia is a dynasty having a special situation of holding the two Islamic holy cities of Makkah and Madinah that have determined its unique position and status. Whether it is a Kingdom or Republic, its affairs will be dictated by the Islamic tenets and Arabic traditions with special care to protect the sanctity of the World Center of Islamic Belief and Culture. The affairs will be administered by the ruling dynasty as long as they behave and strictly follow the Qur'anic directives supported by the Islamic populations. This authority & obligation has been affirmed by the world communities of Muslims, which may not conform to the liking of others. Any threat to Islam and its adherence in the territory must be protected by the best possible measures which may not be perfect or agreeable to un-Islamic authorities, principles or practices. If Alisa Khan is suggesting globalization and so-called secular human rights to be applied without defending the authority of Islam and its values, then she is asking too much. If the Saudis do not allow missionaries to use their work and tactics to undermine the values of Islam and create an environment that may promote rebellion among younger people against Islamic belief, then the government will be undone but to regulate the freedom of un-Islamic missionaries. Within the territory, the choice and freedom of the Kingdom claim preference.

Alisa Khan probably knows the historical development on the land around the Tigris and Euphrates. In the not-so-old history, the changes of hands and the cat & mouse games between transplanted monarchs and military rulers, orchestrated by the behind-the-screen anti-Muslim conspiracies to destabilize the power structure on this unfortunate land of Iraq, finally have brought the fate of the Iraqi nation to a deliberate state of chaos and confusion fuelled and fanned by the contention of Shia-Sunni conflicts. The enemies of Muslim power did their best to destroy and disintegrate any possibility of peace, progress and prosperity on that land. Neither the Muslim Monarchs nor the Military Generals were capable of withstanding the powerful Anglo-American conspiracies against stability of the nation. The country has been devastated. There is no infrastructure, no social orders or services in place. Non-Muslims are in the safe-heaven, but the Muslims are disintegrated into hostile ethnically divided inner enemies who are subject to subjugation of the foreign powers and thirsty of foreign wines. The only freedom Iraq now has is to kill and die. Alisa Khan does not have to ask; Christians are already enjoying all freedoms, even to pray at the tombs standing on the body of the Saddams. What more one can ask?

If you remember the history of the Iranian Empire of Reza Shah and his fall to the popular revolution of the Muslim people of Iran. Shia or not is a different question. The dictatorship of the transplanted emperor was the beloved bedmate of the British father of the monarchy. Except a few large cities where the top rulers would live and rule, the country did not have any institutions and infrastructures. The revenues and resources were under the custody of the makers of the monarch. The Iranian people had nothing but a name under the imperial dominance. Even the last hope and identity of the people as Muslims was taken away by the great atheist "Shahansha". Following the Islamic revolution of Imam Khomeini and subsequent blockades by the powerful enemies, the country has now been recovering and is trying to stand on its own feet but the progress of a Muslim country cannot be tolerated by its enemies; so it has been constantly facing the threats by the Elephant-rider Zionists. The Jews and Christians are practicing their religions freely in Iran, but the values of Islamic faith, rule, culture, and national harmony are sands in the eyes of the monsters. What kind of freedom you would ask from the Iranians?

Countries or nations have individual geographical, historical, socio-cultural, and political identities and jurisdictions. How anyone can expect a sovereign nation to forego its rights, values, and freedom of its own affairs? Now please tell me what else you would like for the three countries to do for the pleasure of anyone else. If anybody wants the atheism or world agnosticism to control the religious faiths and beliefs, then that has to be dealt with similar measures, I believe.

Regards,

Mohammad Jalaluddin

We need to promote religious freedom and tolerance in every country, not just in Bangladesh.

It is time for countries in the middle East like saudi, Iran, Iraq to allow Christians to freely practice their faith, and to allow everybody to choose any religion they believe in.

He said that religion can not be excluded from life , it comletes and beautifies life, it is the foundation of values and ethics.

Mr Mahmudur Rahman , former Adviser on Energy issues and major columnist of the country , said that the main priorities  of the country are   protecting democracy and sovereignty of Bangladesh , beware of the planted and subservient civil society members  and NGOs,, clean and transparent politics and increasing production of goods and services.

Even on Islamic issues there is not much difference. The main secular party Awami League also has clearly said that no law will be passed aganst the Quran and Sunnah. On the other hand the main Islamic party Jamaate Islami uphols human rights, women rights, minorities right and pluralist democracy . The Charman urged all parties to work together for the country despite differences which
