RE: [ALOCHONA] Re: Will you be able to tolerate him as President of Bangladesh again?

You are absolutely right. On a separate note, the constitution forbids convicted criminals from running for office. If thats the case, half the people running should be disqualified...no?

Dear Readers:

Awami League declared that they would form a Unity Government if voted to power.

I am utterly disgusted as:

Firstly, it is surely paving the way for BAKSAL and ways to confirm permanent Hasina Dynasty by subjugating opponents with political enticements and

Secondly, how can Awami League be so hypocratical to make or even think of making Ershad - the President whom we struggled to throw  out through our 90's revolution? If they instal Ershad- that will be a kick to our democratic norms and all the values Awami League is always known to have upheld - No religious fanaticism and no support for military rules in any form or definition. This has been a major area against BNP by Awami League.

We, as members of the public and we as ex-students of Dhaka University and we, as memebers of the democratic movements during Ershad's regime who witnessed Noor Hossain's dedication of life demand clear and unambiguous answer from Awami League rulers. Please do not forget even there are well respected Awami League leaders who were also victims of Ershad's iron-rule during his despotic rule.
