Slow implementation of ADP

The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (Ecnec) expressed dissatisfaction over the slow implementation of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the current fiscal year. Only 7.44 per cent of the ADP has been implemented in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
   The finance adviser had outlined the ADP worth Tk 26,500 crore in June for the current fiscal year. Of this amount, Tk 9,800 is crore is from foreign aid. Many of the ministries spent less than three per cent of their allocation in first three months of the fiscal year. This is utterly disappointing.
