[ALOCHONA] Why Remittances so low compared to Pakistan?

This proves, Bangladesh should start education in English from 1st Grade so more of them can emigrate to much more advanced countries than in Middle East working as just under-paid labor slaves.

Even in Russia Wages are a lot higher than Middle East for ordinary labor. Even illiterate Pakis try to enter rich Western Countries legally of illegally first and after failing or not having enough money for Airline Tickets or Sea Trawlers of Smugglers, or not being able to afford to have a fake Visa to those countries try for Middle Eastern countries.

Some years ago, USA was letting everybody in even, when he had a fake Visa. I do non't think the same policy is still being practiced after 9/11 incident. I guess, nobody told this to Bangladeshis. Only one out of 50 entering USA-Mexican borders get caught. More than 600 Pakistanis were caught just in year 2006, meaning 590 x 50 = 29,500 got away.

Do people of Bangladesh know, yearly Per Capita Income in Canada ($ 44,000), USA ($ 46,000 or 12th highest in the world behind Luxemburg, Norway, Ireland, Iceland, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, UK and Finland) and other European Countries compared to Middle East?

Banning English has made Bangladesh become way behind even just one of the city of Pakistan, Karachi because that city has more Foreign-company-paid IT jobs than whole Bangladesh. India has become the biggest Beneficiary receiving about 2 million jobs of Americans in IT Sector paying Rs. 15,000 a month or above.

The Money Bangladeshis sending thru remittances have never reached $ 1 billion mark, when Pakistan is reaching $ 5 billion mark now.
When is Bangladesh going to wake up to the facts of life?
If anybody interested in learning more tricks or trade in this business. I'm available to let you and Govt of Bangladesh learn more about this. Why has not Bangladesh Govt tried to consult with people like me on the subject for last 36 years is the question.

Bangladesh expat remittances up 35 pct in February

Reuters - Friday, March 7
DHAKA, March 6 - Bangladesh received $676.06 million in remittances from expatriate workers in February, up 35 percent from a year ago but down from a record high of $710.74 million in January, the central bank said on Thursday.

In July-February, the first eight months of the 2007/08 financial year, remittances from more than 5 million Bangladeshis working abroad totalled $4.83 billion, 26 percent higher than the same period of 2006/07.

Booming economies in the Middle East and the Gulf region, as well as an ageing population in European countries and rising skills of Bangladeshi workers were driving demand for Bangladeshi labour, officials have said.

Remittances hit a record $5.98 billion in the 2006/07 financial year that ended in June, 24.52 percent higher than the previous fiscal year.

The central bank expects the inflow of remittance to touch an annual $10 billion over the next two years, boosting a key source of foreign exchange for the impoverished majority-Muslim country.

It has been making vigorous efforts to encourage expatriates to send money home through legal channels, officials said.
The majority of the expats work in the Middle East, the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Japan and Singapore.

Remittances from Bangladeshis are the country's second biggest source of foreign income after ready-made garments, which earned more than $9 billion in the 2006/07 fiscal year.
