This is not a reply to Mr. Sitangshu Guha's latest position. It is addressed to you messers moderators. It is high time that you put a break to stop the endless debate that has been going on for some time between Mr. Guha of BHBCOP and Dr Jafar Ullah, Dr Avijit Roy & others of MM in the Mukto-mona forum in which off late one Mr. Jiten Ray also participated. As far as I remember, and honestly speaking I have not followed the debate seriously as I had least interest in such meaningless topics, it all started Mr. Guha supporting the republican candidate for future presidency and supporting the Bush administration. Nothing wrong in it. Mr Guha must have thousands reasons to do so in supporting the Bush administration and republican candidate to win the next election. On the other hand Dr. Jafar Ullah and his su[[orters have every right to suport the candidature of one particular candidate in the next election. They have also sufficient reasons to convince themselves to
support the candidate of their choice.
But unfortunately th depade took unexpected turn and as it continued it widened to more and mor issues like atheism vs faith, question of communalism vs secularism and even many MM progressives where indirectly charged with pseudo secularits or progressives. Mr. Guha has also been termed as Hindutwabadi indirectly, conservative etc. But the real issue was never meant to be turning that way. Next phase would be personal atack on each other. Mr. Guha's latest later is an indication of such turn. From academic discussion to personal attack- before it goes to that extent, moderators, please stop it. MM as well as BHCBOP, I believe Mr. Guha too would agree with me, many more burning issues and problems to address.
