Dear Min,
Are you from Tibet? How much do you really know about what is
happening there?
It troubles me that people from outside Tibet, including the Dali
Lama who left there 50 years ago,
might not truly understand the country as it exists today.
Tibet appears to be changing under China. Some people will not like
the change, for sure. But
evolution of society is inevitable. Do you think the Tibetan people
should change their country
from the inside or be guided by people like Richard Gere and Goldie
Hawn who are intrigued
by yet another religion, Buddhism?
Anyway, I have seen far too many people jump on bandwagons they don't
understand to jump
on this one without knowing more that the western world knows at the
moment. All things being
equal, this might be a great cause. But sadly, all things are never
equal. Are we equally
concerned about the Palestinians or the children in Iraq and Darfur?
