Thanks Mr Akbar Hussain. Well you have been called a freak and a monster and I have been called a clown and a joker - for our views. The mindsets of the 7th century were not necessarily wrong. Truth does not pale with time. If it did, we would not quote Socrates who lived long before the 7th century. Allah has given us a brain. But there are limitations to that brain. We will not fathom everything in our lifetime. No one has. Every scientist knows that. At one point of time he or she gives up saying he cannot understand any further due to the limitation of either technology, gadgets or the number of neurons in his brain. But if one ponders deeply, then who is that being who made it all and makes them go on. I recall a BBC TV news where they said a certain school academic committee in UK had decided to stop teaching Darwin's Theory of Evolution. The president of the committee said that while teaching it they faced big blanks which could not be answered by the teachers. When asked what she thought how humans were created then? She said 'it was created by a being far more intelligent than we can percieve'. The source of religion is just that belief. The existence of a being far more intelligent than what we can ever percieve. If we believe this much then the other beliefs will emanate from there. You kill religion, you will have to create one. Because no constitution is enough and dynamic to resolve all issues for all the time. Hope and fear both are required for our survival. If religion provides that fear to keep one on the correct path then so be it. So much for today.
