[ALOCHONA] Re: Pls listen carefully & take decision............

Dear Alochoks

Well yes. This forum should be asked - we're talking about Bangladesh after all. Then maybe Robin could have advised them not to have the Armed Forces so heavily represented in the Investigation Committee! And I could have told them not to make the chief negotiator head of the Investigation Committee! These guys need help!

We could also have told them that having the President sitting quietly on a stool at the National Parade Ground was not appropriate. We could also have told them that Sahara Khatun and Nanak were the wrong people to send to negotiate.

Though of course they spent their whole life for Awami League and that's got to be the main qualification!

So does that make us special? Does that make Robin special? Nope. It just makes the Bangladesh government the same as it ever was.

And not everyone here is acting as if they know everything. Most are far more thoughtful than myself and others - especially the silent majority. Those who act like they know exactly what happened are representative of the general politics in Desh. And thats got to be part of online landscape because that's what we want to engage with.

We're Bengalis. We couldn't investigate how many died in a war in 1971, in a famine in 1974 or in partition in 1947. We wouldn't know the truth if it came and made sweet love to us.

If we dont have someone at home or cannot agree on one then we should get one from outside.

The mutiny still looks to me like a riot run amuck during which some BDR malcontents (maybe be politicos) took oppurtunistic advantage and killed the officers.

The former because it is immoral and the latter because it unproductive and makes things worse.
