Should political parties use students for campaigning and operating polling booths? Political parties often use students for campaigning and to man polling booths on voting day. While teachers say this is a waste of time and that students should instead be studying, others say it is a good way to initiate youngsters into politics. Here are comments from several students: No, I dont think that its wise to utilise our youth energy in such a waste because by putting them to such work will not only hamper their precious time of studies but also will shape the mind of youth in the same manner as the current politics is working. Its being rightly said that IDEA can change your life same is their for nation so please dont place wrong footprints on this wet cement which is our youths mind and let them generate new ideas to make this country regain its past glory. I think this good if students are interested with the dynamic thinking of serious career in politics to remove our older politicians which are behave bad day by day and not thinking about basic need of public and about country which going on which track. on the another way this total waste of time by student and which utilised by the political parties for them benefit not for student future. this topic is demanding a healthy thinking about student which are future of my,u and for all who interesting to progress our country, society. Campuses are the places where the politicians find students and turn them into leaders of tomorrow Parents send their children to schools and colleges to study the subjects and to grow in wisdom to be dutiful citizens. They should never be used by any political parties for campaigns or propaganda. They are free to join any party and work full time once they choose the same after their study. I think it's a shear waste of time for the students getting engaged in campaigning and operating polling booths. For the very simple reason that politics is not only associated to campaigning and operating polling booths. It's much more than that. It's about practising and conducting political affairs. And a person should understand his constitution, rules and regulations to enter politics. I think the political parties are just making use of these youngsters for their own benefits and once the elections get over, the politicians don't even pay heed to them.
Students should not be involved in any political affair because this will drive their thinking to easy way of fame, name and easy cash. Students may associate with meetings or writing essays on political subject but till schooling/college studies is over do not engage in any politics. all attention must be diverted for studies only.
I personally think, students if at all want to join politics then it should be his/her personal choice. even few critics says that student job are to study and not involve himself/herself to dirty politics. but i should suggest that it is dirty because we students are not working and participating in it. we do any work other then do anything for any political party(i.e. working for benefits of our on people), because we think one's we get involve in it is difficult to cut off. in nutshell student on his own choice should join it because it is part of our own system and we must do something good for our own motherland by selecting good political party (which really wants to work for every individual of this country).
The mature students who are adult and eligible for voting should be allowed to take part. It should be fully volunteer work. The political parties should not entice them by paying them stipend, boarding and lodging, free food and drinks and sometimes free travel to long distances. If still local students want to support a political party and distribute pamphlets, talk to neighbourhood people its fine. No thugs and browbeats ever should be brought near them. No arms ever be provided to them come what it may.
No, not at all. Student should concentrate on studies in place of going to politics.
Well I will say yes to this question, But at the wish of the Students. Students who campaign are matured enough who go for campaigning, So if a student from the biggest force of student community goes out to some one and say that this guy is good, but at the same time he should let them know the credentials of the guy who is fighting the election.
It becomes the soul responsibility of the student to choose the right guy and spread that information and help general people to cast their votes to the right guy. Students are the right people because a lot depends on us for the betterment of us, our family and for our country on our decision. We are the one who are going to transform india into a developed country, and that can be done by the people. So My friends let's go ahead and choose the right guy for next five years and let others know about them.
Main job of students is to study well and compete for good grade and class. They should not be made to join politics that too indian dirty politics of strikes, corruption, murders etc to become rich. Even in schools and colleges there should be union to conduct sports, debate, bringing outside lecturers for technical lectures and good advice. Politics can be practised only after good education. Besides students must study how present day politics is working by reading papers and viewing TVs news debate, etc. and can bring in good politics only after their political career.
There should not be any election at all in the educational institutions. Forget about using students for ulterior political motives.
No! Not at all. Politics is much more than just campaigning, operating polling booths and winning elections. Engaging young students in such activities will initiate them to politics from the wrong end. Students eager to make a carrer in politics, should understand it's main purpose; that is governance with an overall view of betterment of the society. This is possible only if they work at grassroots levels and understand social, and economic issues.
Due to the same we can see the exams have been postponed in some of the versities.
