Many among us may remember Tarashankar's short story "Tarini Majhi." Devastated by high flood water with strong current, Tarini majhi was trying to save his own life as well as his wife's life. He was trying to float above water along with his wife. But after some time he found it impossible and strangled his wife to get relieved of her burden that was pulling both of them down. He let his wife enter the world of the dead. What a great human existential tragedy!
