[vinnomot] Re: [notun_bangladesh] The Nation hold hostage again

Dear Musfique Bhai

Congratulations. It is a wonderfull and appropriate treatise depicting the black teeth of the criminals students(few percent) and their Ustads, Mastans and God Father "TEACHERS".

This is the truth and nothing but the truth. The students are the most fearful animals of the country that they can make havoc to the nation at the instigation their beloved Teachers.

These students have made things turned upside down that while in childhood we were taught " Lekha Pora Korey Jey Gari Ghora Chorey Sey".
These goon students, the lezurs of the political parties being student drive latest model cars and have properties worth of millios of Takas.
Did any of their mentor teachers or poiltical party asked them that how come being student you have all these wealth ? No never No ? That is why they reign supreme over the Law.

This is the most unfortunate part of our nation that nothing can smoothe because of these crooks criminals.

Let our Bangladesh be free from these devils forever.

The Nation hold hostage again

The DU teachers and students associated with the mass arson, loot and vandalism in August of last year, got acquited by a Chief Metropolitan Magistrate on January 21, the some verdicts was overturned by special presidential pardons.

There have been mass uproar in the media along with a small quater of DU teachers and students for the unconditional release of these miscreants. There have been massive report of threat as well,  to disrupt the academic session in the educational instituitions nationwide, unless the demand of their release was meet.

During the presidency of Gen H.M. Ershad, an ordinance was passed to punish those transport workers ( mainly bus and truck drivers) who were responsible for involuntary man slaughter in an motor vehicle accident. The initiative was highly praised because of high death toll, caused by road accidents. In most cases the drivers were primarily responsible. Specialy their irresposible and wreckless driving (sometimes in the influence of alcohl) were directly related to the loss of many valuable lives. Among hundreds and thousands of such incidences, one of my friend have lost his siblings ( of them were a newly married couple) along with his nephew and niece ( as old as 1 year). Thanks to the drunk truck driver who have smashed the car they were riding on.

Not only in the highways by in the streets of the capital itself became the death trap.  Though in Dhaka city, the number of major road accidents have been decreased but that is because of the intollerable traffic jam. But the high numbers of road mishaps remained big in other roads and cities.

As soon as the law was passed, along came the Transport Workers Union, who have threatened to halt the transport operation nationwide, unless such law was retracted.

Ershad Govt had no choice but to succumb to this unjust demand. Since then, the transportation workers are enjoying the previlages of staying away from been tried by law, have there occurs an fatal road accident. The also earned the right to launch violent agitation if the law enforcement doesnot favor their whims.

Inspired by the Transport Unions victory, the trade unions of other sectors are following the same path. Trade Unions in Bangladesh are so powerfull that they can overturn any just and lawfull admistrative decissions. Which created nothing but indecissiosn/bad decission and chaos, in every sector, both in the adminstration and private sectors. No wonder even after so many years of independance, Bangladesh has remained listed as a developing nation.

As a regular listener to the BBC news commentory, it was unevitable that, the current CTG was pressured to meet the agitating blackmailers in a similar fashion. A few days before the verdict was annouced, DU VC Prof Fayez have firmly claimed that, the agitating students and teachers would "appreciate" the result of the verdict. It seemed that Prof Fayez was quite aware of the verdict in advance.

Though, the students and the teachers had a glorious past, but in post independace Bangladesh, such role have reversed. As reknowned novelist Akhtaruzzaman Ilyias portrayed the students as " drug and sex addicts." (Chilay-kothar Sepai). The novelist might have spared the students from further humiliation by overlooking their trend of extortion, arson and looting.

True that, most of the students doesnot fall under the catagory, but whether against their will or not, they enjoy such unethical practices. Specialy politicizing the educational instituitions have become an alarming epidemic. Massive scale of such political stooging is rare to alien, even in our neighbors arena. No wonder a scholar student/ intelligent teachers prefers to be an expatriot when opportunity knocks; which is bound to create a vacum of intelligents among our future educators/adminstrators.

Such could result in a highly disasterous sceneriofor the future of Bangladesh.

In current day Bangladesh, the Teachers and students, influenced by the old rotten left wing communists; are seen in a vocal role, against the verdict of the arrested teachers and students.

Because of the satellite channels, the old game of deception by the print media have failed to gain any fathom in propagating in favor of those arsonists and looters. Instead , the pro leftwing communist print media have tried to portray the convicted teachers and the student as the victoms of "oppression". And created uproar to release these arsonists, who have caused the damage of public properties worth severel hundred crores.

Since the CTG have succumbed to the pressure of one tiny group, they may as well prepare to face a wave of protests to release the other convicted criminals.

It is indeed a shame for the nation that, the rule of law have smashed under the foot of the lawbreakers. This may open the Pandora's Box of retaliation or street justice. It seems that, the CTG by setting such a bad example is forcing the nation to turn towards that path.
