This is an article by Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar on the issue of delimitation of constituencies. It argues that there is constitutional compulsion and legal bindings to delimit constituencies after every population census. Thus the Election Commission has no alternative but to delimit constituencies prior to the 9th parliamentary elections. Otherwise there may be legal challenges both before and after elections.
