John Pilger is nothing less than a 20th Century icon in the world of
journalism. His courage, intellect and honesty know no bounds. There
are precious few of his calibre around.
Lets hope this misadventure with Moudud doesn't indicate that similar
lapses are on the way!
On the other hand I always thought that Western commentators have
little idea about the nature of the beast in Bangladesh. I suspect
if John gave you or me half an hour to explain how the Deshi
politician's mind works he would not be so generous with his
judgement.
I must read at least one of his books!!!!
I wonder if he did a treatise on Bangladesh what he would think of
Deshi politicians : )
