While briefing newsmen about the outcome of the meeting, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad said the cabinet also approved National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Policy 2009, the proposed Insurance Control Authority Act 2009 and the proposed National Insurance Act 2009.
The ICT policy envisages elevating Bangladesh to a middle-income country within 10 years while the developed country status within 30 years through using the potentials of ICT sector.
