[mukto-mona] Barrister Rafique-ul Huq's letter regarding legal fight against war criminals

Dear Writer
Thanks for your leter. I fully agree with your view. We had many things to do for those who were brutally killed by war criminals and we miserably failed in our duty. You have really triggered my brain and given me the courage to fight against war criminals.
I can assure you with all humility that I shall render my sincerest professional service for prosecution of the war criminals if I get such opportunity in future. I am of the view that those war criminals should be tried by our Government and not individually. They may be
tried under our existing laws if our purpose and aim are sincere. You have indirectly mentioned about fees taken from my corrupt (??)clients. You may ascertain from them how much they pay to me. Leaving aside that aspersion, I can assure you that for prosecution against war criminals my service will be free. On the contrary, I am prepared to contribute to the fund, which may be required for the team of
prosecutors for such trial. It is true that our past Governments miserably failed in their duty.
Some of our so-called intellectuals who are now advocating for trial of the war criminals were parties in those Governments. It is encouraging that they have also joined hands with those who are now demanding trial of the war criminals. We all must join hands, irrespective of political affiliations to fight for the trial of the war criminals, wherever they are and as and when they are located.
Those who killed our intellectuals and brothers and sisters deserve to be prosecuted without mercy.
Once again I congratulate you for your note to me.
Rafique-ul Huq
