[mukto-mona] Re: Reply to Biplab : Taslima's moral values and Badrul Islam's curse on my family!

WRT:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/45287
K A Mohiuddin:
"In our religion, it's said 'Lakum di lukum
waliadin' - His his religion is with themselves. As I have nothing
against other religions"

Then Mr Mohiuddin's comment on Hinduism:
"You come from a society where girls are used as prostitutes in the
name of religion called 'Sevadasi'. I feel pity for you."

Is this the 'classic" example of "Lakum di lukum Waliadin" in Islam?

And a question to Mr Mohiuddin based on his comment:"When you talk
about adultery, you are talking only about Islam, but you don't talk
about Catholicism"

My specific reference to Barbarism was:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/45274

"It does not need any religion of ancient time with barbaric rules
to stop adulterous behavior"

Did I mention Islam? I didn't-because Quran does have some
negative comments on adultery-I won't say those are laws. Stoning
the culprits in adulterous relation in Sharia originated from Jews-
some argue it is old Egyptian custom.

So..
Even if I didn't mention Islam, he assumed I have attacked Islam!
What a vulnerable insecure religious mind. I have thrown a rope and
he is afraid of a snake bite!

Anyhow, two examples on the above are a good example of how a
religious mind works torn apart by the reality of weakness in his
belief.

I am not that opposed to Prophet Muhammad-indeed his robust
conviction to his ideology inspires me as well. However, I am not
sure I can be with his follower's claim that he and Islam will
remain for ever. Universe is 12Billion year old-Islam existed for
last 1400 years--that is just only 0.00000001% of the Universe's
age. My guess is in another 200 years, all religions will collapse
into a single spiritual quest guided by scientific truths. If you go
deep down any religion, either through social science or spiritual
quest, one will find there is no 'CORE' difference in one religion
from another--because 6 Billion people on the earth have 6 billion
religions. No two Muslims or Hindus have same religion. Difference
in religion is merely cosmentics.

The reason somebody thinks he is a Hindu or a Muslim, because he
does not have enough knowledge of social science and spiritual
philosophy ( study of self). Once this knowledge be spread among all
the people--which is happening through internet--institutional
religion will collapse and individual spiritual quest will be the
order of the day. But the war and violence will follow-because
leaders of the institutional authority will not let it happen unless
a state would force it upon them. That's why religion must be
separated from the politics of a state-or else religious leaders
will try to capture state power--that is the only way institutional
religion can survive in a knowledge based society-eliminate
knowledge and that state will be doomed like Iran.

Thanks
Biplab
