I liked your Jalpaier Achaar. What many Bangladeshis at home and abroad fail to realise is that the arrests of University teachers and subsequent sentencing them to prison terms by an "independent judiciary" are signs of impending overt military rule.
As the Bengali saying goes, "Jhee ke mere bou ke shashon kara", by arresting, humiliating, torturing and finally sentencing university teachers on unfounded grounds and motives, the power-hungry generals have been conveying the message: "Ei Shalar Beta Bloody Civilianra Shone, amra toder shathik pathe anaar jonnyo desher shashon bhar tule nebo ( tora bujishna murkher dal, already amrai desh shashon korchhi. Amader birudhhacharon korley shab shala deshoddrohider jeler bhat khaoabo... haramjada Blood y Civilianer Bachha."
I just heard from a very reliable source yesterday, General Moin is going to be the next president of Bangladesh, by July (after he retires from the Army). What Pakistan thinks today, Bangladesh thinks tomorrow!
