[vinnomot] Advisers Geeteara and her husband Nazim Kamran Choudhury chronicle

Do anyone know if the justice have found its address in the hands of this government, which came to power in the name of fairness, evenhandedness, impartiality, neutrality, righteousness, refusal to take sides!

Why! Why a law-abiding citizen will not get bare minimum protection from its own government? Why vicious powerful perpetrators will win every time?  Why defenseless will loose all his belongings to formidable government cronies?  Law of the land is for ordinary citizens and the powerful quarter related to government will make mockery of that! But for how long?

Just because the godfather Geeteara Safiya Choudhury is a powerful adviser of caretaker government? Nazim Kamran Chowdhury will go unpunished just because he is THE husband of 1 of eleven most powerful person of Bangladesh coming into power on 1 eleven?

If so, I can see their time is up not far but very near future and they have to appear before the court in a prison van, handcuffed and head down and people will do a hoedown. seeing them go.

We will come back again and again asking for justice until it is served.

With hope
Shamim Chowdhury

A landowner yesterday filed a criminal case against Nazim Kamran Choudhury, husband of Industries Adviser Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, and eight others on charges of grabbing land and physical assault.

Farhana Islam, wife of Dr Mahbubul Islam, filed the case with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Dhaka.

After hearing, Metropolitan Magistrate Hemayet Uddin recorded statement of the complainant, but he did not pass any order on the issue.

The other accused in the case are Abu Rushd Tareq, his wife Shamsun Nahar Tarek, Makim Choudhury, Shawkat Hossain Shahadat, Adit Bhagat, Ripon, Bipul and Yar Ali.

In her complaint, Farhana mentioned that Nazim Kamran and others were her tenants and they had illegally stayed in her building in Gulshan-2, even after the agreement for rent expired.

Farhana also alleged that Nazim Kamran and his men beat up her and tugged at her sari when they made a bid to "usurp the property" on Oct 22.

Following the incident, Farhana said, she went to Gulshan Police Station for filing a case against them but police refused to register it as a regular case.
