Dear Shafiq
I have said a reformed AL without Hasina or reformed BNP without
Khaleda should form the next government. I have said that Jamaat must
reform, Nizami etc should be in jail and that I don't want a Jamaati
government. But still you say I am a looting, killing, raping
Jamaati. I know I am reactionary at times, but boy – you are no less!
I have a well balanced view of the CTG and I am happy to discuss all
its flaws and failings - if only intelligent people like you would at
least be truthful about BNP and AL then your criticisms of CTG could
all be accepted with an open heart.
I maybe 100% wrong in my opinion. But there are no contradictions in my arguments.
I never said the CTG succeeded in dealing with student politics. Give
it another 4 years and maybe it will : ) At least the CTG policy
stopped Chatra League etc fighting. When this policy changed the
Chatra League etc started fighting again. Why don't you blame AL for
Chatra League, BNP for Chatra Dal or Jamaat for Shibbir – for a
change? Is it difficult?
There is corruption in the Army but the trend is in the right
direction. Unless you think there are MORE instances of corruption
now than during AL and BNP governments. Unless you think AL and BNP
did MORE to fight against corruption than the CTG.
Come now – I know personal attacks are beneath you. Why attack me
personally when you never personally attack corrupt politicians : )
Don't worry about whether I am doing justice to my job. More than a
million of our countrymen are working 14 hours a day for slave wages
in the Middle East after being cheated by manpower agents – who all
have protection from AL and BNP. They are all doing more than justice
to their jobs. Worry about them.
Idiom shmidiom. I know the point you were making about the dog and
his day. I think you also know the point I was making about the dog
and her day : )
What difference does it make if I call it a Jamaati government or a
BNP government – you still think I am a Pakistani Jamaati!
I haven't disowned anyone. Party loyalty doesn't mean that you keep
quiet about injustice in your party, that you never criticize your
leader, that you believe in dynastic politics, that you attack
everyone else and turn a blind eye to your own party's faults. What
is happening now is the best thing that ever happened to BNP!
Are you saying the CTG is a paper tiger?
There is a natural uncertainty and confusion about any CTG. But there
are battalions of AL and BNP and Jamaat activists deliberately trying
to increase the level of uncertainty and confusion in the country –
for their own political advantage.
Where you and I really differ is that:
I can accept temporary uncertainty and confusion if we get a reformed
AL and BNP, without Hasina and Khaleda and with war criminals
excluded from elections. The CTG may be failing to achieve this but a
good many decent people think it is at least trying.
However you on the other hand prefer the certainty and clarity of an
unreformed AL or unreformed BNP in government, with Hasina or Khaleda
as PM and with war criminals included in the election.
There are no easy choices - only hard choices. It's a question of
which hard choice you make. You'll quote the law today and if Hasina
or Khaleda come back you'll forget about the law. So please don't get
all sanctimonious about the law.
By the way. What is the right path? Do you want an election next
Wednesday? And then what? Which party do you think I should vote for?
